Join DPSCS During our National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Regional Open Houses
April 4, 2012 - In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) this year, the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) will host three regional networking events. DPSCS recently reorganized to a regionally-based model. Our hope is that regional integration opens lines of communications, flattens operations, reduces overlap in services, and allows us to focus on partnerships in each region.
We invite our community partners to attend our regional networking events, as we wish to introduce our new, reorganized structure. As a victim services community, we best serve victims of crime when agencies work together seamlessly, offering the appropriate assistance to victims at each point in their journey through the criminal justice system. We at DPSCS hope to strengthen our relationships with our community partners through these annual NCVRW events.
Community members are also invited to attend to learn more about victim services through both DPSCS and our participating partners.
For our victim service partners who wish to attend:
Please feel free to bring any brochures or informational material you wish, and we will have tables available for those who wish to set up small displays – please RSVP so we can plan accordingly. Light refreshments will be provided. We hope your agency can attend the event closest to your service area - if your agency has statewide reach, please do consider attending all of the events:
