Entry Level Police Academy Commencement

What: 27 new officers graduating from Police Entry Level Training Program
When: Friday, August 10 at 10 a.m.
Where: Carroll Community College-Century H.S., 355 Ronsdale Rd. in Sykesville
Details: The new officers have completed 26 weeks of intensive training at the DPSCS Public Safety Education and Training Center in Sykesville. They will begin careers at seven law enforcement agencies, including Carroll County Sheriff’s Dept., Frostburg State University Police, Laurel Police, Frederick County Sheriff’s Dept., MD Transit Administration Police, Westminster Police Dept., and the DPSCS Internal Investigative Unit.
Nine members of the DPSCS Warrant Apprehension Unit will also graduate.
The MD Police and Correctional Training Commissions are responsible for entry level and advanced training for virtually every law enforcement officer in the State.
