Central Booking Escapee Captured in PA
TOWSON, MD (November 18, 2011)--- Maury Figueroa, the detainee who escaped from the Baltimore Central Booking and Intake Center on November 9, has been captured in western Pennsylvania.
The U.S. Marshals Service took Figueroa into custody without incident. No further details on his capture are immediately available.
Figueroa’s escape has triggered a probe by the Internal Investigative Unit of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. The Division of Pretrial Detention and Services (DPDS), which operates Central Booking, is also undertaking a full investigation.
