Allegany County Task Force on Child Abuse and Neglect Offers Community education programs, speaker services, and publications on child abuse and neglect for all age groups. Open 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Crime Solvers Family Crisis Resource Center, Inc. Provides 24-hour Hotline for crisis counseling; provides information and referral to support groups. Offers counseling to domestic assault and child abuse victims. Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Health Department Provides counseling and therapy. Open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Juvenile Services, Department of Provides cases status information and monitors collection and disbursement of restitution in some juvenile cases. Open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Legal Aid Bureau, Inc. Provides legal aid in civil matters (to eligible people) - qualifying low income clients. Offers counseling and referral services to victims of domestic violence. Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch. Parole and Probation Social Services Provides child and adult protective services. Accepts and investigates reports of suspected child abuse. Provides services and referrals for abused children, adults and their families. Provides financial and placement services as well as counseling services. Determines public benefits to people.
